Not only is Storm Riders the ultimate special effects extravagenza, it also has all the elements of a masterpiece. Unlike most HK movies, Storm Riders does not rely on crude, low-grade humor to please the crowd. Rather, its strength lie in the sophisticated and poetic dialogues, intricate plot, unforgettable music, breakthrough special effects, and the full intensity and mood captured by the film. Aaron Kwok has never displayed this much charisma on screen, and the whole cast delivers great acting (yes, even Ekin Cheng is A-okay!). [10/10] |
